The Project Engineering Manager leads a team of Project Engineers and CAD Technicians to prepare and present design documentation for new and equivalent products. Frequent interaction with customers and vendors on product-specific issues that relate to design, production, lead times, delivery, etc. Cooordinates all aspects of product structure, including Engineering documentation, data entry, labeling, packaging, etc. Supports production through ECO's , deviations, dies, fixtures,tools and drawings. Manages the product design projects and insures proper documentation is provided in accordance with quality standards (AAMI specifications, ISO-9001, ISO 13485 and FDA, Title 21 Part 820, QSR etc). Partner with external customers to transfer product concepts and specifications into Katecho, Inc. documentation. Build business relationships with our customers with the objective of expanding existing product lines.
Prepares and presents design documentation for existing and equivalent products. Develops and implements the projects to completion. Interfaces effectively with other Department leaders to allocate resources between teams as needed.
Manages customer communications on existing products. Manages product design projects for existing products and insures proper documentation is provided in accordance with quality standards (AAMI specifications, ISO-9001, ISO 13485 and FDA, Title 21 Part 820, QSR etc.).
Creates and organizes complete product structures, including prints, item cards, bills of material, design files, drawings, ECO's, work-order verification, Deviations, prints ect. Responsible for the integrity of the engineering database. Verifies work-in-process affected by the changes.
Interfaces with our existing customers with the objective of developing new product lines and expanding existing product lines. Review customer drawings and product specifications, build engineering design file consisting of CAD drawings, bills of materials.
Ensures utilization of engineering knowledge to develop project timelines, identify risks, estimate costs, and requests resources for successful delivery. Performs basic quoting duties to include the calculation of costs for raw materials, purchased and finished products, and labor.
Investigate and process Engineering Change Requests, ECO's Approve/reject NCMRs,NCPRs,TDAs,etc. as assigned
Make drawing revisions
Coordinate material "use-ups" and customer "buy-outs"

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Certified in project management a plus.
Three to five years of experience working in an engineering capacity and experience in an engineering supervisory or management role. Experience in business development required.
Demonstrated experience providing presentations for customers, clients, or groups. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and employees. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Reasoning ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables. Demonstrated analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills.
