Machine Operators are responsible to set up, operate, clean, and handle general maintenance of complex machinery in the Manufacturing Dept. This position may also operate rewind and slitting equipment as needed.
Immediate openings for machine operators; 12 hour shifts 7PM to 7AM Mon, Tues and Wed as well as 7AM-7PM on Thurs, Fri and Sat.
1.Set up, operate, clean, and handle general maintenance on complex machines according to applicable drawings 2.Maintain quality standards by checking for debris and overall print quality, as well as comparing it to the customer print.
3.Use digital equipment and measuring devices to collect and record data.
4.Troubleshoot and solve machine related problems such as tension, pressure, settings, irregular ink distribution, and web-breaks.
5.Complete work in a timely manner according to departmental schedules.
6.Operate multiple machines fluently with a minimal amount of supervision.
7.Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
8.Suggest improved or alternate methods of producing product.
1.HS Diploma or GED
2.Able to communicate in basic English; read, write and understand
3.Experience working with various inks and coatings, including solvents, alcohol, UV, and other printing supplies
4. Able to read and understand assembly drawings and build product accordingly. Strong attention to details.
5.Experience using digital instruments and measuring devices including rulers, comparators, calipers and gauges to collect and record data
6.Good work attendance and dependability.
7.Previous CNC machine Operator experience or bindery experience is a plus!
8.Mechanical aptitude with hands on skills
9.If working nights or shifts with minimal supervision, must pass a criminal background check.
