Immediate Opening-1st Shift Quality Production Supervisor


Katecho is currently accepting applications for our immediate opening of Quality Supervisor for the 1st shift (8a.m. - 4:30)


Coordinates activities of workers in the Quality Department in the areas of staffing, material requirements, documentation, productivity, safety, and training. Works with the Quality Production Manager to proactively lead the quality system efforts through monitoring of production operations, and adherence to and administration of the ISO 9000 and GMP compliant quality system.


1. Lead the employees of the quality area by example in the areas of attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and company loyalty. 2. Work on continuous improvement of the quality system through monitoring of production operations, personnel management, and adherence to and administration of the ISO 9000 and GMP compliant quality system. 3. Work with other departments to determine the root cause and solve problems involved with product quality. 4. Insure product is inspected in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Katecho quality standards, ISO9000 standards, and GMP requirements. Expedite workflow. 5. Train quality employees reporting to Supervisor. 6. Develop work instructions and request documentation changes as required. 7. Monitor the completion of necessary documentation. 8. Work with the following employee issues according to company policy and in conjunction with Human Resources: a. Track employee attendance. b. Resolve both minor and major employee conflicts. c. Issue employee discipline, both informal and formal. 9. Insure the department follows quality policies, human resource policies, safety policies, and manufacturing rules and guidelines. 10. Communicate and work together with other departments as required. 11. Makes decisions regarding inspection and inspection plans.


QUALIFICATIONS 1. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience or equivalent. Training and/or experience in manufacturing systems with an emphasis on production flow and troubleshooting. 2. Ability to lead and influence others by example in the areas of attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and company loyalty. 3. Certified Quality Technician ASQ-CQT a plus or within one year of employment- Paid training. 4. Ability to direct and train employees. 5. Ability to communicate and work with other people. 6. Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple tasks in order of importance. 7. Problem solving abilities relating to production duties and working with people. 8. Honest and of high integrity. 9. Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
