New process adds new products with increased usage.
Position requires mixing and operating manufacturing equipment for wet chemistry process.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up complex machines according to applicable drawings. Mix hydrogel according to charge sheets. Handle potentially hazardous chemicals by complying with all safety rules and MSDS Sheets Inspect the quality of the materials and work in process. Accurately process and handle associated paperwork as required. Complete work in a timely manner according to schedules. Operate complex machines with a minimal amount of supervision. Obey safety rules and exercise caution in all work activities.
Requirements- Bachelors in Chemistry or Minor preferred or Associates of Science in Chemistry
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Proven leadership abilities
Reasoning ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables.
Demonstrated analytical skills. Strong organizational skills.
Experience working in Manufacturing Setting a Plus!
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and operate a computer. The employee is required to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee must be able to work with the chemicals required as part of the hydrogel manufacturing process.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Majority of time spent operating complex machinery in the Hydrogel area.
Works in close contact with potentially hazardous chemicals.
