Quality Control Lead
Coordinates activities of workers in the Quality Department in the areas of staffing, material requirements, documentation, productivity, safety, and training. Works with the Quality Control Supervisor and Manager to proactively lead the quality system efforts at Katecho, Inc. through monitoring of machine operations, the materials department, the shipping department and adherence to and administration of the ISO 13485 and FDA, Title 21 Part 820, QSR.
Lead the employees of the quality area by example in the areas of attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and company loyalty.
Assist employees with work process problems.
Monitor completion of necessary documentation.
Expedite workflow.
Interface with supervision and/or management to ensure quality rejects and/or problems are brought to the attention of responsible personnel. This may include interfacing with employees in other departments
Assists Quality Management team with enforcing decisions regarding inspections and inspection plans.
Test and/or inspect the quality of the equipment, materials, work in process, and final product in a timely manner according to established written Quality Department procedures, engineering drawings, and documentation. This includes critical inspection items that may affect the function of the product.
Able to correctly use required tools, fixtures, rulers, testing equipment, etc. involved in the testing and inspection processes.
Able to do product testing, validation, life studies, and calibrations. This could include the preparation of any paperwork associated with such tasks.
Basic metrology skills required.
Ability to read blueprints and train others to read blueprints.
Previous experience with Machine Operation.
High mechanical aptitude.
Preferred experience in shipping.
Ability to lead and influence others.
Ability to direct and train employees.
Able to read and write English.
Abiity to supervise large groups of people.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
