Immediate Opening-PLC Machine Operator
Katecho, Inc. has openings on our 1st Shift (8:00a.m. - 4:30pm) and 2nd shift (4:30p.m. - 1:00am) for PLC-Machine Operator
Growing medical manufacturer has an opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator.
The Machine Operator is responsible for performing work on advanced and complex web based machinery with OIT (Operator Interface Terminal) equipment in the Manufacturing Dept. Employee must have mechanical trouble shooting ability under minimal supervision. Experience with flexographic printing, web press and die cutting presses helpful. Employee must be able to follow instructions and procedures. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate PLC automated manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read, interpret and document values from displays on OIT.
Follow procedures for starting, stopping, inspecting the quality of the materials and work in process.
Understand web-based converting processes.
Accurately process and handle associated paperwork as required for the work being completed.
Complete work in a timely manner according to departmental schedules.
Operate multiple machines fluently with a minimal amount of supervision.
Must be able to solve problems and understand manufacturing processes
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of technical school, full apprenticeship program, or minimum of three years experience in the operation and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. Automation experience with PLC desired.
Able to read and understand assembly drawings and build product accordingly.
Strong attention to details.
Close attention and care is required to prevent damage to complex machines, parts, and tools.
Able to recognize quality problems with materials and work in process.
Good work attendance and dependability.
Able to grow with the department and take on new responsibilities as required.
Able to perform routine tasks on a continuing basis.
Ability to speak and read English.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
